Graveside services for Marcella Bean of Grass Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Chicago Park Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. Kurt Degner will officiate. Mrs. Bean died Saturday, March 16, in Grass Valley. She was 97.
She was born Sept. 7, 1904, in Pittston, Pa. She moved to Santa Rosa as a teen-ager.
She was a homemaker. She and her husband owned a boat machine shop at Bodega Bay until they retired. She was a former resident of Springville, but in recent years lived in Grass Valley to be near her daughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Vivian Frederickson of Chicago Park; son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Joyce Bean of Springville; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Bean.
