Pauley services held

Services for John Martin "Jack" Pauley were held at the Root Mortuary Chapel in Steamboat Springs at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan 25, 1979. They were conducted by Pastor Wayne Vorhies. Interment was in the Steamboat Springs cemetery. In charge of services was VFW Post 4264.

Eric Hudson, accompanied on the organ by Lila Hudson, sang "In the Garden" and "Beyond the Sunset."

Pallbearers were Lloyd Monger, Chet Cooper, Lewis Kemry, Tom Lindley, Arthur Anderson and Elwood.

Pauley passed away at his residence in Steamboat Springs on Monday, Jan. 22. 1979. He was 75 years old at the time of his death.

Born in Saltville, Va. on Jan. 27, 1903, he was the son of James A. and Nannie E. Williams Pauley. He served in the Army during World War II. He came to Routt County 35 years ago and was a ranch hand until his retirement.

He is survived by one brother, Arthur E. Pauley of Henry, Va.; and one sister, Gladys Webb of Gaymon, Okla.

The family prefers memorial donations to the Heart Fund in care of Koot Mortuary in Steamboat Springs.
