Statesboro - Mrs. Elizabeth "Granny" Carney, 91, passed peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2006 in the comfort of her home under Vista Care. She was a Bulloch County native and a member of Historical First African Baptist Church. She was a retired caregiver.

Survivors include one niece, Gladys Lynch of Miami, FL; devoted caregiver, Mrs. Mildred (James) Hughes of Savannah, GA and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Historical First African Baptist Church on Church Street, Cotton Ave. Burial: Eastside Cemetery. Craig R. Tremble & Sons Funeral Home.
