Emil Lagasse, 85, Rolla, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, in the Presentation Medical Center, Rolla.
Emil Joseph Lagasse was born Feb. 19, 1915, the son of Dosithe and Josephine (Turcotte) Lagasse, in Rolla, where he attended school. He married Emma Lassonde on Oct. 12, 1944, in St. John, N.D. They lived, farmed and ranched in the Rolla area from 1944 until 1981. In 1982, they moved into Rolla. In 1994, he moved to the Presentation Care Center, Rolette.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Grace (Curtis) Ouellette, Virginia Parr and Pamela Lagasse, all of Rolla, and Lorraine (Harry) Belisle, Kramer, N.D.; sons, Armand (Jan), Paul and Albert, all of Rolla, Charlie (Naomi), Stanchfield, Minn., and Richard Rick (Denise), Rugby, N.D.; 25 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Omer, Rolla, Arthur, Seattle, Edward, Garner, Iowa, and Henry, Rolette; sisters, Stella Dawson, Rolla, Eva Winslow, Everett, Wash., Delia Godfrey, Kelso, Wash., Laura Hellem, North Branch, Minn., Alice Pidde, Bloomington, Minn., and Semon Jalbert, Purdue, Sask.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Jalbert and brothers, Zenon, Louis, Albert and Armand.
Services: 2:30 p.m. Saturday, St. Joachim Catholic Church, Rolla.
Visitation: Begins at 5 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. vigil service, and 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday, all in the church.
Burial: St. Michael's Cemetery, Rolla (Niewoehener, Rolla)
