Gene, 76, entered heaven at home in Excelsior Springs, MO. He was born to Grace D. and Forrest M. Livingston. Visitation was in the chapel of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church on Aug. 23, and services followed at 2 p.m.

He was a very talented structural engineer, working for The Boeing Company in the early 60s in Renton, Washington, and New Orleans, Louisiana. In New Orleans he worked on the Saturn V program. He retired from TWA in 1999 and continued contract engineering for American Airlines until 2010. He served as an usher at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church for 28 years.

Gene was a wonderful Christian, much-loved husband and daddy to Hazel and their children and cherished friend to all that knew him. He will be greatly missed.

Gene was a quiet, non-judgmental man who loved God, his family and engineering, in that order. He graduated from University of Colorado with a B.S., Aeronautical Engineering, 1960. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Annabelle Albright and husband Harold. Survivors are Hazel, wife of 56 years; son Larry Daniels, wife Marsha; daughter, Leslie Coleman, husband Scott; daughter, Rebecca Lee, husband Godfrey; eight grandchildren; sister Mary E. Shelton, brother Ernest Livingston, wife Pat; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions are being accepted in memory of Forrest E. Livingston to the Global Missions Fund of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 North 291 Highway, Liberty, MO 64068.
