Mabel M. Dennison, 88, of Mt. Pulaski and formerly of Springfield, died at 1:25 p.pm, Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Vonderlieth Living Center. She was born January 2, 1925, in Palmyra, IL, to Harvey and Millie Eyers Branan. She married James M. Dennison on December 7, 1944; he preceded her in death on March 12, 1978.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Marjorie McDonald and Martha Turley.
Surviving are a son, Gary (Jan) Dennison of Springfield; two step grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; one step greatgreat-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mabel was a Springfield resident most of her life. She was a homemaker and clerk for Thrifty Drug and Judy's Hallmark. She was of the Christian faith.
The family would like to especially thank the staff at Vonderleith Living Center and Safe Haven Hospice for the loving care given to mom.
Chapel Service: 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Oak Ridge Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum with Pastor Mark Weber officiating.
