Mrs. Bruce was member of the Boeuf River Baptist Church. She died of cancer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Bruce, Sr.; a son, Donald Bruce; a daughter, Elaine Bruce; and a brother, David Hayes.
She was survived by her daughter, the Rev. Ruby Pahal and her husband, the Rev. John Pahal of Monroe; her sons, Woodrow Bruce, Jr. of Rayville and Ronald Bruce of Start; her sisters, Mrs. Billie Pierce of New Orleans and Mrs. Earlene Byrd of McCain, MS; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
