RICHARD W. MUSGROVE

Richard W. Musgrove, son of Benjamin and Kathryn Musgrove, was born in Putnam County, Mo., Oct. 19, 1848, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. E. Carr, Cincinnati, Iowa, Jan. 11, 1932 at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 23 days. He spent the most of his life on a farm near Omaha, Mo., later residing in Centerville, Iowa.

He was married to Isabell Benefield [Benefiel] on Nov. 19, 1876. To this union were born seven children--three sons and four daughters--John W. of Tulsa, Wyo., Robert E. of Zurich, Mont., Chas A. of Chinook, Mont., Mrs. C. E. [Stella] Adamson, Mendota, Mo., Mrs. E. G. [Lucy] Irelan and Mrs. C. C. [Anna] Carr of Centerville, Ia., Mrs. C. O. [Ethel] McClaskey, Hoffman, Minnesota.

The deceased was of a family of nine children, only three living: Mrs. Susan Drury of Marshalltown, Iowa; and J. R. [James Robert] and S. A. [Samuel Albert] of Mendota, Mo. The deceased children are: William, John, Thomas, Sarah, Mrs. Jane White and Mrs. Mary Cooksey.

He was a charter member of the Masonic Lodge of Hartford, Mo., being an honored member of that order for over 60 years, was affiliated at one time with the U. B. church at Centerville.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. D. Noland at the Christian Church at Cincinnati, Tuesday, Jan 12, at 2:30 p.m. The body was laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
