Nail Mahmoud, 22 was a newlywed with a smile that would light up a room. Nail was a clerk working at a gas station in Apple Valley, Mn when he was shot in the head during a robbery. A customer had found him lying behind the counter. Nail was taken to the hospital where he died two days later from the wound.
Nail was well liked in the neighborhood and a very friendly guy. He always acknowledged you by name when you came in to the store. Our neighborhood is at a loss over this. He will be missed by everyone in our area.
Nail, a Palestinian, just got married in May and was studying computer program networking at Dakota Technical College. Besides his wife, Cassandra Nail is survived by his father and two brothers.
Police are continuing their search for suspects and no arrests have been made at this time.
