Lewis "Bud" Winters,79, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 2, 2012.
He was born and raised in Carp lake, the son of Lewis and Blanche (Weatherwax) Winters.
Bud served in the U.S> Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1950- 1953.
On December 31, 1953 he married Patrica Foster from Petoskey at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Bud was employed at Toshi-Sands Market for 22 years as the meat market manager.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, skeet shooting and spending time at his cabin in Canada.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patrica Winters and grandson, Leston Michael Winters.
Survivors include 2 sons, Lewis Jr.(Dixie) Winters of Cheboygan, Stephan Sr.(Teresa) Winters, of Copperas Cove, Tx,; daughter, Terrie (Donald) Neill, Petoskey, eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren' 2 brothers, Herb(Bobbie Jean) Winters, Robert(Linda) Winters,and 3 sisters, Orthella "Sis" Marshall, Dexa "Jeannie" Lacost, and Carol(Tim) Finch.
Graveside services were held Saturday, Sept 8th at 10:30.
