Funeral services for Mrs. Alice De Boer, 84, Rock Valley, were held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Sam De Zeeuw home and at 1:30 in the Christian Reformed church at Rock Valley, with Rev. Henry Van Deelen officiating.

Burial was in Valley View cemetery under the direction of the Cooperative Burial Association of Sioux Center.

Mrs. De Boer died early Thursday morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. De Zeeuw, with whom she had been making her home because of ill health.

Mrs De Boer, nee Alice Jaspers, was born June 29, 1867, in The Netherlands.

She was married Sept. 25, 1889, to Sikke De Boer, and they came to this country in 1899, settling near Boyden. From there they moved to Pipestone County, Minn., and several years later to Pease, Minn.

They came to Rock Valley in 1928 where she had been a resident ever since.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1931.

Mrs. DeBoer was a long-time member of the Christian Reformed Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Minnie (Mrs. De Zeeuw), Rock Valley, Jacoba, (Mrs. John Pap) and Rena (Mrs. William Koojman) both of Pease, Minn.; six sons, William, Gerrit and Jake, all of Pease; Peter, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Martin and Cornelius, both of Chicago; two brothers, Cornelius, Chicago, and William, Minneapolis; and a sister, Reka, of Jacksonville Beach, Fla. There are 45 grandchildren and seven great grandchi1dren. Two children of the De Boers died in infancy,
