She suffered a fractured skull and died while en route to the hospital.

Carter officiating, funeral services were held at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon at Westfall Funeral Home for Alice Marie Wertz, killed Saturday evening when struck down by an automobile. Interment was in Chico Cemetery. The pallbearers were Edith Inman, Ethel Inman, Bernice Brown and Maybelle Miller.
