The 1910 census shows his widowed mother Adelaide McDaniels and wife "Kale" from Germany living with him.
The death record for his stillborn unnamed son, buried in this same cemetery (called "Belgrade Street") called his wife "Kate." The family lived on Rainbow St. at the time. (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-266-12068-10964-31?cc=1320976)
The couple next had twin daughters, Mary and Annie, in 1873, and Jettie in 1883.

The 1880 census reported he worked in a woolen mill, along with an Adelaide, 13, called his daughter but who, more than likely, was his younger sister. From another census, his sister Adelaide's birthdate was similar, and pre-dates William's marriage to Kate.
By 1900, he was a street foreman, but others in the family still worked at the woolen mill.
