ONALASKA — Agnes Gregerson, 87, of Onalaska passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse following a 15 year battle with Alzheimers. She was born on Sept. 12, 1922, in Elgin, Iowa to Henry and Mathilda (Halverson) Christianson.
She graduated from Elkader High School and also attended Elkader Junior College. She married Merle W. Gregerson on Jan. 31, 1946, in St. Olaf, Iowa.

Agnes and her husband lived in Strawberry Point, Cedar Rapids and Marion, Iowa, El Segundo, Calif., Scappoose and St. Helens, Ore., Colorado Springs, Colo., Edgar, Wis., and spent the last 41 ½ years in Onalaska.

She worked at Outers Labs for 16 years retiring in 1985.

Agnes enjoyed traveling, she and her husband made four trips to Norway, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Onalaska Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband; Agnes is survived by her two children, Joyce (Philip) Sanders of Onalaska and Gene (Carole) Gregerson of Marathon, Wis.; four grandchildren, Guy (Kathy) Gregerson of La Crosse, Erik (Sarah) Gregerson and their children, Carter and Jaxon of Browerville, Minn., Andrew Gregerson of Marathon, and Casey (Adam) Remke and their son, (Aden) of Holmen; six brothers and sisters, Bill (Millie) Christianson of Farmersburg, Iowa, Delores (Fred) Waalk of Elgin, Iowa, Henry (La Vonne) Christianson, Jr. of Elgin, Iowa, Betty (Bob) Kurdelmeyer of Monona, Iowa, Velma Larson of Clinton, Iowa and Charles (Irene) Christianson of Gowrie, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Mervin (Lois) Gregerson of Oelwein, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Barb Christianson of Guttenberg, Iowa.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Elmer, Geneva, Hazel, Marjorie and Clifford.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 10 at Onalaska Church of Christ, Pastor Gordon Clary officiating. Burial will follow in Onalaska Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. at Fossum Funeral Home of Onalaska on Sunday and again at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Monday.
