He was a Veteran of the American Revolution, a Corporal in the Third Company from Stonington, CT, Samuel H. Parson's Regiment. He married, first, on Oct. 14, 1781, Desire Clark. She did on December 24, 1782 at Leyden, MA. He married second on October 12, 1783 at Leyden, MA, Anna Littlefield. She was the mother of all his children. He married third on February 29, 1816 at Leyden, MA, Amy Denison.
