2005 The Sun HeraldMrs. Alvina E. Bristow, age 83 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Friday, March 25, 2005 in Gulfport. Mrs. Bristow was a resident of the MS Gulf Coast since 1978 and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gulfport. She was also a lifelong genealogist. Mrs. Bristow is preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Irena Splinter Kroese and her husband, Walter S. Bristow, Jr. She is survived by her sons; Walter S. Bristow, III of Lynchburg, VA, Howard A. Bristow of Gulfport and Thomas R. Armstrong; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at 1:45pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Klein Road in Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery in Biloxi. The Highway 49 North Chapel of Riemann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
