The marriage ended in divorce however, and He married Lillie E. Jensen in 1910. He relocated from Muncie to Chicago between 1910 and 1920. Besides working as a postal worker he also was employed as a Merchant and a Machinist. He registered to vote one year in San Francisco and listed his occupation as a Chair Maker.

Arthur T., who was educated at Danville Normal and was a teacher in Delaware County. He is assistant money order and stamp clerk in the Muncie Post Office and has held this position for twelve years. He is secretary of the Examining Board of the Civil Service, a most efficient official, and the U. S. Department of Civil Service gave him this praise - that he was the only secretary in the United States who had invariably made immediate report of his examinations. He wedded Mrs. Nellie (Upton) Lane, a native of Wisconsin. They reside in Muncie, Indiana.
