Alfred Marion Sutton, Jr. died suddenly December 12, 2009 of an acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) and coronary artery disease at his residence in St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri. He was 56 years old. He was the son of Alfred Marion Sutton Sr. and Geneva May Mitchell Overby. He was born July 24, 1953 in White Sands, New Mexico.

He had three siblings: Jeraldean "Jeri" Lee Sutton Winter of Missouri, David Leroy Sutton (1957-1998), and Deborah A. Sutton Fuller of Illinois. He was divorced and was a truck driver.

He proudly served in the Navy during Vietnam War.

Survivors include: companion Patty Woodman and his dog, Shadow, daughter Billie Jo Sutton; father; sisters Jeri Lee Winter and Deborah Sutton; three grandchildren.

Al remated on December 14, 2009 by the St. Joseph Crematory Company in Saint Joseph Missouri. Funeral services were handled by Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, 1010 Highway 71 South, Savannah Missouri.
