Her funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Long Shoals Wesleyan Church with Pastor Jon Mann officiating.
Burial will be in the Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The body will lie in state for one hour during the visitation.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Hoffman was born Jan. 4, 1927, in Gaston County, to the late Ralph S. and Meadie Hudspeth Lutz.
She worked for many years in the textile industry.
She is survived by her husband, William Earl Hoffman, Sr. of Lincoln Nursing Center; three daughters, Robbie H. Burgess of Crouse, Lee Ann Hoffman Cook of Lincolnton, and Sandra Hoffman Tucker of Fancy Gap, VA; one son, William E. "Chuck" Hoffman, Jr. of Charlotte; one brother, Norman Lutz of Sherrills Ford NC; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
