Mrs. Mary J. Taylor, widow of the late Rev. B. F. Taylor, passed away Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. Lee Currey, in the sixty-seventh year of her age. She was a consecrated Christian lady, whose life has been a beautiful lesson to all who knew her. She was a devoted member of the Baptist church, and a daughter of the late Rev. Strother Cook, who for so many years was the beloved pastor of the Shawnee Run church. Her health had been failing for some time, but her last illness was only of a few days, pneumonia developing, which caused her death. Besides several brothers and sisters and numerous relatives, she leaves two children, Mrs. Currey and a son, Rev. John Taylor, of Bethel, O., who reached his mother's bedside only a few hours before she passed away. The funeral services were held at the Currey residence Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. P. Harvey assisted by Rev. J. W. Campbell, and the interment was in Spring Hill cemetery.
