Lycurgus was my Great-Granduncle
He was the son of James Sidney LYNCH and Arie C. QUINN.
He was married to Amanda "Mandy" ELLIS on 11 Mar 1875, in Dekalb County, Missouri, USA.
Together they had seven children:

Lycurgus "Curg" and Amanda Lynch moved to Edmond in 1889 and bought a farm west of Edmond. They resided there until their children were grown.
Lycurgus Lynch served as county commissioner of Oklahoma County for six years and while county commissioner, built the court house and jail. He also served as jailor under M.C. Binion. He was a staunch advocate of law enforcement and always endeavored to help elect efficient and honest men to public office. He was a kind father, a good neighbor, an upright citizen.
His parents moved the family from Kentucky to DeKalb County, Missouri in 1857, where he grew to manhood.
