She remarried to Samuel Hale in Dec 1892. Although he was married to the river, he did remarry in 1906 to Indiana (Partin) Sadler, a long term widow whose husband, Adam Sadler died in 1876 in Warren County, KY. She moved to Nashville with their two sons, Charles and Arby Richard Sadler. He was about 73 and she was about 63 when they married. The 1907 Nashville City Directory shows them living together for the first time with her name changed from Sadler to Spillers.
In Dec 1912, his grandson of oldest daughter, Mattie Bell (Spillers) Harmon, Robert Atkins Harmon, married Willie W Vaughn in Evansville, Vanderburgh, Indiana (on the riverboat route on the Ohio River).
His first wife died in 1913 and Indiana (Partin) (Sadler) Spillers died in Mar 1916 in Nashville, Tennessee. He would have been about 83 when Indiana died.
In the 1920 census of Evansville, Vanderburgh, Indiana, Fountain's listed residence is Little Sisters of the Poor, 1410 Lincoln Avenue:
"Spillers, Fountain (inmate) 86 TN widower"
