Johnny Wesley Bartlett, age 69, of Hollis, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 20, 2013, at Hospice Quality Care, in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Mr. Bartlett was born in Hollis, Oklahoma, on September 23, 1943, to Charles Romie and Mary (Mitchell) Bartlett. Living on Buck Creek most of his life, he graduated from Arnett High School in 1961. An outstanding baseball player, Johnny was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates and went to Orlando, Florida training camp. Longing to return home, he attended Sayre Junior College and then moved to Weatherford where he worked at Jameson Chevrolet as the parts manager and then for many years at the 3M plant. In the Late 70's he returned to Harmon County where he farmed for many years. On July 21, 1988, he married the love of his life, Tricia Irvin, and they spent the next twenty-five wonderful years together until his untimely death. In his spare time, Johnny enjoyed messing with old cars, watching any sport, collecting antiques, eating ice cream and popcorn and playing with his dog, Raude.

Preceded in death by his father, he is survived by his wife, Tricia, of the home; his mother, Mary Bartlett, of Hollis; two children, Lesli Partain of Yukon and Lindsi Tillman and husband Rance of Hollis; four grandchildren, Rebekah Partain, Caleb Partain, Jayde Tillman and Romi Tillman; one great grandson; one sister, Peggy Kirchoff and husband Bart of Hollis along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Johnny Bartlett will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Harmon County Funeral Home Chapel with Jesse Cantu officiating. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home of Hollis.
