Patrick Joseph Creegan, 68, retired miner and former Kelly-Springfield Tire Company policeman and factory worker, died at 1:55 last night at his home, 521 Patterson avenue, after a long illness. Mr. Creegan was born in Hoffman, Md. and was a life-long resident of Allegany county. He moved to Cumberland ten years ago. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Allegany County Holy Name Society and the Ancient Order of Hibernian Division No 6.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Annie E. Creegan, Mr. Creegan is survived by three sons. Patrick J. Jr., Midland; Simon A., this city, and John T. at home; by four daughters. Mrs. William J Holland, Turtle Creek, Pa.; Mrs. Joseph P. McMahon, Mrs John T. Foley, this city, and Miss Margaret Z. Creegan, at home; by four brothers, James, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: Terrence C. and Peter J., Detroit, Mich, and Michael J, Midland and by two sister, Mrs William Guy, Bloomington, Md and Mrs Peter Hughes, Gilmore, Md.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from St Patrick's Church with interment in the church cemetery.
