Elsie Jean Walker, age 73, of Portage, IN passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013. She was born on September 7, 1939 in Fremont, NE to Ballard Isaac and Essie Mary (Lapradd) Kingry, who preceded her in death. Elsie is survived by her sons: Bruce (Jeanie) McQueary of Knox, IN and Alan (Florinda) Walker of Gulfport, MS; daughters: Tammy (Albert) Hartrunft of Portage, IN, Cheryl (Amy) McQueary of Phoenix, AZ, Roxanne (William) Sanders of Portage, IN, Judy (David) Davidson of Portage, IN, and Dawn Franco of Portage, IN; 20 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; beloved dog, Brandy. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368 with Pastor Mike Hendon officiating. Burial to follow at McCool Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
