A native of Edgefield County, Mrs. Mason taught for two years in the Edgefield County School System. She was a member of Mount Canaan Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Reginald Mason, Maurice Mason and Tyrone Mason; two sisters, Patria Brayboy and Lucille Beaubian; two brothers, John B. Bettis and Herbert Bettis; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, at the Mount Canaan Baptist Church; Rev. G.L. Brightharp officated. Burial followed in the church graveyard.
The G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, North Augusta, was in charge of arrangements.
