Son of Casper and Mary Moyers. His name has been written as Gasper by family records and official records but also in some official records as Casper. So could be a misspelling or a nickname.

DEED: On Oct 2, 1797 Gasper Moyers and Anne his wife of Rockingham Co sells 22 ½ acres on the north side of West Run to Elizabeth Hammock from land patented from Gov. Beverly Randolph Esq. on Nov. 10 1789. DEED: On Oct. 2, 1797 between part of the legatees viz John Hamack, Catherin his wife, Gasper Moyer, Anne his wife, Peter Sperry and Mary his wife, John Barrow and Elizabeth wife of Rudolph Hammack deceased of Frederick Co of the one part and Rudolph Hammack of the other part for 410 pounds paid by the said Rudolph Hammack at delivery release until the said Rudolph all their and every part of dividends of a tract of land Rudolph Hammock father of the above named Rudolph Hammack died seized of in Frederick Co lying on a branch of the North River of Shanadoah and in a branch of Crooked Run which entire tract of land was conveyed by deeds from Isaac Randall and George Bowman bearing date of 21 Jul 1769 recorded in Frederick and the testator by his last will and testament dated Nov 10 1783 did demise and order that the said tract be divided equally among his children and in consequence the legatees viz John Hammock and Catherin his wife, Gasper Moyers and Anne his wife, Peter Sperrey and Mary his wife, John Barrow and Elizabeth his wife under the name in the testaors will of Elizabeth Hammock do by htese presents proceed to sell only excepted by Gasper Moyers and Anne his wife that they have not sold or conveyed their share in the dower right of Mrs. Elizabeth Hammock their share only in the third part of the land to be given and granted to them after the death of said Elizabeth Hammock relict of the abovenamed testator but all the right they had is hereby conveyed except the one sixth part of the 3rd part of the tract and aforesaid legatees John Hammock and Catherin his wife, Gasper Moyers and Anne his wife, Peter Sperry and Nancy his wife, John Barrow and Elizabeth his wife, have hereby sold and conveyed and released only excepted Gasper Moyers and Anne his wife as above excepted all houses, buildings, orchards, ways, waters, etc. to Rudolph Hammock. "Mrs. Moyers, widow and relict of Casper Moyers deceased, Jacob Moyers & Catherine his wife of Rockingham Co, John Moyers & Christianna his wife of the state of Indiana, Casper Moyers & Rachel his wife, Henry Moyers & Margaret his wife of Rockingham, Abraham Moyers, Ann Moyers, Barbara Moyers, and David Moyers of Augusta Co and Rudy Moyers and Daniel Moyers of the county of Rockingham sold 1/5 part of a survey for 81 acres of a certain tract to Henry Hotspillar land situate in Augusta Co. The deed mentions earlier agreement dated April 2 1814 between Casper Moyers and Henry Hotspillar that was not fulfilled due to Gasper's death. (Augusta Co VA Deed Book 42 p 354)
