Services for Viola Rose Eisenbacher, 76, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father James Fandel and Father Dale Koster officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. She died Saturday, Sept. 15, 1989 at Fairmont Community Hospital, Fairmont, Minn.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Armstrong from 4 – 9 p.m. Tuesday. Parish rosary will be prayed Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born June 30, 1911 to Kossuth County, Iowa, the daughter of John and Emma (Fandel) Hilbert and attended Whittemore Catholic School. On Jan. 6, 1930 she married Roman Eisenbacher in Kossuth County. The couple lived in Whittemore – Algona area. The past forty-four years they have lived in Armstrong where she worked for various businesses. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include six sons: Roman Jr., Swea City; Joseph, Ringsted; William, Algona, Robert and Sylvester of Armstrong and Richard of Des Moines; four daughters: Mrs. Larry (Evelyn) Wampler, Elgin, Minn., Marjorie Moffitt and Janice Peterson, Armstrong and Mrs. Bob (Madonna) Frazier, Wilbert, Minn.; 39 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother Norbert Hilbert, Wesley’; two sisters: Mrs. Buzz (Carmela) Culp, Independence Mo. And Mrs. Bob (Mary) Haag, Vermilion, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her husband Aug. 19, 1987; parents; one sister; one brother and an infant great-grandson. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 19, 1989)
