Graveside services for Donald T. Doggett, 89, of Abilene, Texas were held January 9, 1996 at Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Jo Gay officiating and directed by Elliott Hamil Funeral Home.
Mr. Doggett was born in Villisca, Iowa where he attended public schools. He moved to Abilene from Villisca in 1973. He had been a bookkeeper fo Villisca Municipal Power Plant for 25 years.
He was the widower of Inez E. Portor Doggett, whom he married in Maryville, Missouri on April 12, 1932. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Villisca and the A.A.R.P., Chapter 113 in Abilene.
Survivors include his daughter, Pat (Mrs. Leo) Merchant of Abilene; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren; five nieces and three nephews and a sister, Irma Patterson of Villisca.
Memorials may be sent to the donor’s favorite charity.
