Donald Elmer Fritz, son of Albert and Alta (Swartzlander) Fritz, was born August 23, 1915, in Indianola, Iowa. He died at age 89, on Thursday, May 5, 2005, at White Ridge Health Care Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
On November 28, 1936, he married Lois Evelyn Jones. Mr. Fritz had been an automotive parts sales and service manager for Sears and later owned a Firestone Store. He was a member of the Brookfield Church of Christ. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion and VFW.
Survivors include his wife Evelyn; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Paula Fritz; daughter, Ferol Rookstool ; seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; and sister, Alice Witt. His parents; two great-grandchildren; sister, Berniece Bown; and brother, Leonard Fritz, preceded him in death.
