Howard L. "Bud" Binkley, 85, died July 26, 2009, at Gilchrist Hospice Center, Towson, Md.
He was born Sept. 1, 1923, in Lima to Levi and Opal Sterling Binkley, who preceded him in death. On Sept. 13, 1946, he married Jeanne Catherine Conaghan, who died May 7, 2005.
Mr. Binkley had worked at Westinghouse Electric Corp. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Crossroads Church of God.
Survivors include a son, Larry (Andrea) Binkley, of Ellicott City, Md.; three grandchildren, Ryan, Jonathan and Sara; three brothers, Don Binkley, of Englewood, Fla., and Dan (Coleen) Binkley and Harold (Bonnie) Binkley, both of Lima; and a sister, Marilyn Thomas, of Maumee.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lee Binkley, who died March 30, 2005; a brother, Roger Binkley; and two sisters, Phyllis Conley and Helen Binkley.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Pastor Randy Bargerstock will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
