Nydia was born Oct. 9, 1904. She retired from J.C. Penney in Decatur, where she had worked for 25 years. She walked to work every day.
Surviving are her grandchildren, Janey Egli, Evansville; Melinda Estep, Hoover, Ala.; David Siler, O'Fallon, Mo.; Jim Siler, Cincinnati, Ohio; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews in Decatur.
She was preceded in death by both husbands, David Aldrich in 1963 and Fred Cook in 1994, and her only daughter, Betty Jane Aldrich Siler.
