Patricia A. Kingsmore, 71, a native of Union, South Carolina, and Poquoson, VA resident for 29 years, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 15, 2013. She was a devoted Air Force wife and homemaker, and "loved to cook for & serve others her food." Pat was a member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, Yorktown, and an honorary member of the Poquoson Kiwanis Club.
Pat was predeceased in death by her parents, S. Edward Jr. & Helen Holcombe Austin. She was the cherished wife of Ken for 52 years, who survives her. Also surviving is one son, Scott Kingsmore of Lexington, SC; a brother, S. "Ted" Austin, Jr. (Mary Jo) of Chickamauga, GA; a sister, Elizabeth Miller (Lamar A.) Of Jonesboro, GA; a granddaughter Brittany Vittone of Great Lakes, IL; ten nieces & nephews; nine great-nieces & nephews; and three great-great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6-7:00PM, at Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, immediately followed by a Celebration of Pat's life at the church at 7:15PM by Dr. Michael T. Condrey. An additional Celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 19 at 3:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Keith Morrison. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.
