Dr. Miller was one of the "old-time" country doctors who practiced in Wallingford and southern Rutland County for more than 45 years. He was a civic leader: charter member and the first President of the Wallingford Rotary Club in 1928 and was instrumental in establishing the Eastern Star home in Randolph in 1923; School Director from 1915 to 1950; a member of the Masons, becoming past grand junior deacon of the Grand Lodge of VT. He was also a member of the Pico Lodge #32 Odd Fellows and of the White Rock Rebekah Lodge #51 and a member of the Congregational Church of Wallingford.
