Inez Rose, 101, formerly of Whitneyville, died Friday, Feb. 23, 1996, at the Green Home in Wellsboro. Born April 24, 1894 in Middlebury Township, she was a daughter of Wallace and Anna Smith Bartholomew. She was a member of the Whitneyville Larger Parish. Preceding her in death was her husband, Ray Rose, in 1970 and a daughter, Ada Horton in 1987. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Harriet Rose of Tioga; two granddaughters, Jean Foster of Tioga and Mary Jane Edgerton of Mansfield; six great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Calling hours were held Sunday, Feb. 25 at the Scureman Funeral Home, Mansfield. Funeral services were held there immediately following the calling hours. The Rev. Rudolph J. van der Hiel officiated. Burial was made in the Middlebury Union Cemetery, Middlebury Township, Tioga County
