Alice R. Stanford, 84, of RD#7, Wellsboro, died Monday, Jan. 11 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Purley (Maytha) Housel of RD#7, Wellsboro. Born Oct. 11, 1903 in Farmington Township, she was the daughter of Wallace and Anna Smith Bartholomew. She attended the Marsh Creek Fellowship Baptist Church. Her husband, Ivan Stanford, died in 1959. Surviving, besides her daughters, are two sons, Ronald of RD#7, Wellsboro, and Donald of Canton; sister, Mrs. Inez Rose of Tioga; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
