Clarence J. Wehrly, Glen Rock RD 1, Dies

Glen Rock – Clarence J. Wehrly, 71, husband of Mrs. Ethel C. Hendrix Wehrly, Glen Rock RD 1, died Saturday at 9:30 p.m. at his home. He had been in ill health for several years.
Mr. Wehrly was born in York County, a son of the late David A. and Joanna E. Sterner Wehrly. He was a farmer and had lived in this area for the past 43 years.
Mr. Wehrly was a member of St. Jacob's (Stone) Church United Church of Christ congregation and Sunday School, Glen Rock Hose and Ladder Company and Jefferson Fire Company.
Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Kauffman, 2456 Bradford Drive, Haines Acres, York, and Mrs. Roger Flemmens, 130 Walnut Street, Glen Rock; four grandchildren and two sisters, Lettie E. Wehrly, 255 South Main Street, Spring Grove, and Mrs. Emory F. Miller, 540 South Pine Street, Red Lion.
His pastor, Rev. George A. Heisey, will officiate at the funeral tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Burial will be in St. Jacob's (Stone) Church Cemetery.
