FORT WORTH - Thurman Ackerman, a retired motel maintenance employee, died Saturday at a Fort Worth nursing home. He was 61.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Azleland Memorial Park in Azle.
White's Azle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ackerman was born in Burleson and had lived in Fort Worth since 1989. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors: Son, Dale Ackerman of Knoxville, Tenn.; daughter, Alice McCormick of Denver; five brothers, John Ackerman of Springtown, Lee Ackerman of Fort Worth, Elvis Ackerman of El Paso, Harlan Ackerman of Buffalo, N.Y., and Herman Ackerman of Fort Wright, Ky.; and five grandchildren.
