"Earl H. Bedell, Sr., age 88, of Stacy died Wednesday morning at his home following a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Stacy Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Coleman.

"He was born June 3, 1925 in Big Spring, Texas the son of the late Clay C. and Stella Mae Richardson Bedell. He grew up in Garden City where he graduated from high school. He later served in the U. S. Army. He married Betty Ringener at Big Spring on October 16, 1948. He had lived in Stacy for the past 16 years moving from Odessa. He was a welder and loved to build things and his hobby was working. He enjoyed being outdoors. He was a Baptist.

"He is survived by his wife, Betty Bedell of Stacy; his son, Earl H. Bedell Jr. and wife Dee of Weatherford; 3 Granddaughters, Stephanie Torres and husband Steven of Benbrook; Kimberly Neely and husband Dylan of Weatherford; and Melany Bedell and husband Michael of Mineral Wells; 2 Great Grandsons, Devin Bedell and Ethan Bedell; 2 brothers, Ed Bedell of Oklahomoa and Deecye Bedell of Kermit; 2 sisters, Nokie Roberts of Nevada, Texas and Frankie Sours of Alaska.

"He was preceded in death by a sister, Fern Bedell and 2 brothers, Clay R. Bedell and Brooks G. Bedell.

"Memorials are requested to be made to the donors favorite charity.

"Walker Funeral Home of Coleman is in charge of arrangements."
