Rosenberg resident R.J. Moore, 25, of 909 Alamo St. was killed early Thursday morning in a truck crash near Alice. Moore was the son of R.T. Moore, who owns a truck line operating out of Rosenberg and was driving one of the firm's trucks at the time of the accident.
Funeral services were held from the First Methodist Church in Rosenberg at 2 p.m. Friday. Reverend Nolan Vance, pastor of the church, conducted the services.
Moore was a member of the Methodist Church and the Rosenberg Masonic Lodge. He was married to the former Bernice Meyer of Rosenberg.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice; one son, R.J. Jr.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. Moore of Rosenberg, one brother, J.L. Moore of Rosenberg; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond E. Moore III of Rosenberg and Mrs. Jack Pierce of Sugar Land.
Graveside services were conducted by the Rosenberg Masonic Lodge. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Garmany-Janca Funeral Home.
