Mark Stephen Cluff, age 35, died December 29, 1988 in a local hospital after a long and valiant fight against cancer. He was born November 30, 1953 in Salt Lake City, the son of DeMoines and Jean Bills Cluff. He married Lana Whipple October 24, 1981, marriage was later solemnized November 6, 1985 in the Salt Lake Temple Mark was educated in the Salt Lake City Schools and the U of U. He served a mission to the California Oakland Mission 1973-1974. Worked for Rubber Engineering and First Security Bank. Was an active member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include his wife and three sons, Brandon, Parker and Jason, all of Sandy, Utah; his parents and a grandmother Darl Cluff of Salt Lake City, brothers and sisters, Mrs. William (Stephanie) Watts; Mars. Darrell (Sharon) Cook and Ronald Cluff, all of Salt Lake City; Richard Cluff of Tallahassee, Florida and other relatives who will miss his light in their lives. The family wishes to express their graditude to the many skilled physicians and devoted nurses who watched over Mark during the course of his illness. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 3, 1989 in the Sandy 56th Ward Chapel, 10102 South Buttercup Drive. Friends may call at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 256 South 2nd East, Monday 6-8 pm and tuesday at the ward, 10:46-11:45 am. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
