* Georgia McVey Acela, 75, of East Bank died December 25, 1997, in Montgomry General Hospital after a short illness.
She was a homemaker and member of Garden Club and Woman's Club of East Bank. She was awared a certificate of commendation for longtime service as a charter member of the National Council of State Garden Clubs. She was a lifelong resident of East Bank.
Surviving: daughter, Jane Doss of West Palm Beach, Fla; son, Charles of East Bank: sister, Billie Johnson of Port Neches, Texas: three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Memorial service was Saturday at Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank, with Ben Myers officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to East Bank Garden Club.
