Ruth Emma (Schmidt) Baumgart
Ruth Emma (Schmidt) Baumgart, 82, of Munson, formerly of Euclid, died June 27, 2009. She was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Cleveland. Mrs. Baumgart was a homemaker and was married to Alfred Baumgart for 62 years. Ruth was a talented needlepoint, hook rug enthusiast and fantastic cook. She and her late husband were avid gardeners, spending much of their time planting flowers and vegetables and often selling or giving away the produce.
Survivors are her sons, Keith and Wayne; daughter-in-law, Margaret (Howell); grandson, Devin (Heidi, nee Ludwick) of Avon Lake; granddaughter, Corey, Sister Lydia Triechel of Mentor; a nephew; and many nieces. Her husband Alfred; parents, Karl and Emma Schmidt; sister, Freda; and brothers, Oscar and Harold preceded her in death. Memorial services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Peace Lutheran Church, 12686 Bass Lake Road, Chardon. Pastor Curtis May will officiate.
