Jacob W. Slonigar of this city and Mrs. Elizabeth Simpson of Mendon were married at the bride's home there, yesterday evening. Reverend S. M. Lesher was the officiating clergyman.
Only a few near relatives and intimate friends were present. The contracting parties are well known residents, and the hearty congratulations of the community are extended to them.

Mendon Dispatch: Mrs. Elizabeth Slonigar died Monday at Jacksonville. She had been in failing health for several years, and for some months, had been almost entirely helpless.
Her remains were sent to Quincy from where they were brought here by her husband, Jacob W. Slonigar, and taken to her old home, now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Cheney, where funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.
The exercises were conducted by Reverend W. F. Barnett, pastor of Salem Evangelical Lutheran church, who also sang, assisted by Miss Sarah Rosenbrook.
The burial was in Mendon cemetery, and the pall bearers were H. K. Shaffer, W. B. Quig, G. G. Lohr, J. D. Cheney, N. M. Heaney, and Joseph Clark.
