Local memorial services will handled by Brown and Son's Funeral Homes 26th Street Chapel in charge. Funeral services in Michigan will be at a later date.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Owosso, Michigan.
Dorothy was the daughter of August and Maude (Kline) Hayes of Morrice, Michigan. She was born in Owosso one of six children; two daughters and four sons. Her family moved to Morrice, Michigan where she attended the Morrice schools, played on the girl's basketball team and enjoyed writing poems. She graduated from Morrice High School on June 19, 1930.
Miss Hayes married Frederick A Headlee on September 7, 1935 at Owosso, Shiawassee County, Michigan. They were the parents of three children; Ruth, Robert and Arthur Headlee.
Her passion for family geneology made her a large contributor of information for the Hayes-Kline family tree records.
Survived by; son Arthur W.; daughter, Ruth Boice; seven grandchildren, ten great grand children; three step-great grand children.
