Desmond Vines was born to parents Helen 'Sallie' Rhodes Vines & Joseph Green Vines who had married 10 January 1906 • Comanche County, Texas

At this time Dec 2017 little is known about him or his Mother's life. Little is known as of yet, more changes when they are found.

Until now, only the birth document of Desmond has shown up, and that just lists him as male child born Near Bibb, Comanche County Texas. At this time it is thought that this was their only child who was born 26 Nov 1908 and passed a few days shy of 7 months. If this is true then the gravestone is incorrect as the death certificate clearly lists the death as on the 19th.

This child passed only 11 days previous to his Mother which probably means to to an outbreak of one of the many sicknesses that plagued the nation around this time such as Typhoid or Cholera. Why her stone says the 9th and Tex Death Index claims the 28th is anyones guess. To further confuse there were other family members that passed this month. It was thought because so many family members passed in or near that June it was originally thought it meant to to an outbreak of one of the many sicknesses that plagued the nation around this time such as Typhoid or Cholera. His certificate of death is #14750, a bit confusing because his Aunt Lalla 'Lola or Lallie' Rebecca (Bridges) Vines memorial #113417535, passed 20 Jun 1909 and her certificate #14751 is directly after Desmonds. Also, the headstones must be wrong as Desmond's certificate of death is one day previous 19th.

1910 Census shows his Father Joseph Green Vines as widowed, and shortly after this date he remarried.
