Kelly was born December 11, 1959 in Michigan City to John "Jack" and Rosalynn "Rosie" (Berger) Jergens. Her father is surviving in Michigan City and her mother is preceding her in death.
Surviving is one son: Jacob Nekvasil of Rolling Prairie; one granddaughter: Norah Nekvasil one sister: Shannon (Richard) Thalmann; and five nephews: Bronwyn Kinney, Andrew Kinney, Daniel Thalmann, Mark Thalmann and Jon Thalmann.
Kelly was the bartender at Little Tavern in LaPorte for twenty-five years.
She loved animals and her dog "weezie" very much. She was an awesome cook, a Green Bay Packer Fan, NASCAR fan, and gardening. She was a most caring and unselfish person who put others first and was the care giver for her mother for five years when she had alzheimers. Her family and her friends where he highest priority.
Memorials may be made to the Michiana Humane Society.
