Barry Lee Stoner, Sr., 73, of Chambers Hill, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in his home. He was born July 8, 1939 in Harrisburg, the son of the late Herbert E. and Marie (Hipple) Stoner. Barry was a graduate of John Harris High School Class of 1957, served in the U.S. Navy. Employed as a Dauphin County Prison Guard, Police Office for Harrisburg, Middletown and Paxtang and was a self-employed painter for 38 years prior to retiring. He enjoyed reading and was a member of Mountain View Bible Church. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Julianna G. (Bauman) Stoner; 2 sons Barry Jr. (Lisa) of Harrisburg and Matthew P (Heidi) of Millersburg; 5 grandchildren, Kelsey, Tyler, Lauren, Rachel and Grant Stoner; 4 brothers Herbert, William, Michael and Stephen; 4 sisters Sandy Zerance, Charlene Luckenbaugh, Helen Over and Deborah Bender. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise M. Intrieri. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Route 422 & Lucy Avenue, Hershey. Visitation will be from 10:00am until time of service. Interment, with military honors by the Cumberland County Honor Guard, will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to Mountain View Bible Church, 34 Sipe Avenue, Hummelstown, PA 17036.
