Diane Baily was born on May 12, 1949, the daughter of Ray and Maye (Bwol) Neuroth. She was raised and educated in the Marshalltown school district, graduating from Marshalltown high school. Diane worked for the Garwin Post Office, Westbrook Acres, and Iowa Home Care. Diane had a true passion for camping, reading books, cooking for her family and friends, and her greatest love was her grandchildren.
Diane is survived by her children: Melinda (Matt) McElroy of Waukee; Robert (Sherri) Baily of Des Moines; and Lorie (Stephen) Claussen of Garwin; grandchildren: Dalton and Jacob Prince, Ashley and Nicole Baily, Hallie, Stephenie, and Emilie Claussen; two sisters: Barb VerSteegh and Kathy (Rick) Stammer; one brother: Rodney (Cherryl) Neuroth.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Diane Baily, 63, of Garwin, were held Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Judy Marshall officiating.
She was laid to rest in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Haverhill, Iowa. Pallbearers were Jeff VerSteegh, Zeth Stammer, Dalton Prince, Larry VerSteegh, Zachery Stammer and Jacob Prince.
Groups from Westbrook Acres Nursing Home, Albion Fire Dept., Iowa Home Care, Garwin Post Office. family and friends were in attendance.
