Grace W. Claus, 99, passed awa peacefully Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Rogers City Tendercare with her loving family around her. The daughter of Herman and Dorothea (Bruder) Schlager was born August 23, 1913 in Rogers City where she graduated high school in 1932.
Grace is survived by:
…her husband, Elmer of 65 years;
…a daughter, Doreen (Ralph) Glomski of Burton;
…daughter-in-law, Lorraine Claus of Rogers City;
…three grandchildren,
……Paula (Dennis) Gallien of New Hampshire,
……Brian (Alva) Claus of Rogers City and
……Joel (Nicole) Glomski of Burton;
…five great-grandchildren,
……Jessica (Matt) Peacock,
……Jeremy Claus,
……Kyle Gallien, and
……Lauren and Logan Glomski; and
…many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends of Mrs. Claus was held at the Brietzke Funeral Home on Friday, July 5, 2013, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. where a prayer service was conducted at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation resumed at the funeral home on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Rev. John Schrieber officiating.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in honor of Grace Claus to St. John Lutheran Church General Fund.
